We are blessed to live in this Country, in this time, and with the opportunity to use the artistic talents God has given us.
Many women around the world aren’t as fortunate.
We believe passionately that we must give back to the world that has given us so many gifts. So we are dedicated supporters of charitable giving that we believe makes a significant difference to the world in both the short- and long-term.
We divide our giving between two charitable areas:
Microlending is a fairly new initiative in which small amounts of money are lent to entrepreneurs in developing countries, often women.
A small loan of $20 or $40 can give these hard-working people the small boost they need to start a small business and raise themselves and their families out of poverty.
Microlending organizations, most particularly Kiva.org, have been recognized globally and we believe are making a disproportionate impact to improving the lives of those who are often forgotten. We are proud to be supporters of Kiva.org.
Conservation of green areas is not new; President Ulysses S. Grant authorized the first National Park in the United States, Yellowstone National Park, in 1871 with just the idea of conservation in mind. But as the world becomes more industrialized and nations utilize their natural resources to better the lives of their people, the cost of economic progress is putting a real strain on our Earth. As much as we believe in entrepreneurship and economic development, we also believe that economic solutions often do not factor in non-monetary considerations like preserving green space, preserving endangered species, and making sure that our children and grandchildren inherit a planet that still has some of its natural beauty. For that reason, we are also very proud of our support of the Wildlands Conservancy here in Pennsylvania (www.wildlandspa.org), as well as the World Wildlife Fund (www.worldwildlife.org).
